What to wear?

  1. BulletDress from head to toe.  Make sure shoes go with your clothing choices. Even if you are not thinking about full-length or close-up poses your photographer is.

  2. BulletChoose your clothing with care and variety. Don't bring similar outfits. The more original, the better your photos will look.

  3. BulletMake sure your clothing fits! Clothes that fit properly feel better and look better.  Tight clothing reveals too much and baggy clothes can make you appear bigger.

What not to wear-

  1. BulletAvoid busy designs and large logos. Patterns and stripes take the focus away from you and put it on the clothing. Trends come and go. If your logos are large they distract and date your photos.

  2. BulletAvoid shiny or reflective clothing. Distracting!

  3. BulletAvoid too much jewelry. Some pieces are nice but can take the focus away from you. Wear appropriate styles and pieces to complete your look.

  4. BulletAvoid sleeveless styles. Sleeveless clothing shows off your arms.  No matter what we do they will be prominent. You may be able to pull it off, you know who you are.  If not, sleeves are great!

  5. BulletAvoid leather. Unless you are a biker, a rockstar, or cowboy it is not for photos.

What to Bring-

  1. BulletA Parent- Bringing a parent lets them experience this milestone with you.  Also, we are able to make sure we take photographs everyone will love!

  2. BulletProps that show your interest and personality make your photos unique. A few suggestions: Skis/Snowboard • Art Work • Sunglasses • Sports Uniforms • Letterman's Jacket • Golf Clubs
    • Musical Instruments • Collections • Pets • Awards • Friends • Car • Costumes • Anything that shows off you and your interests!

  3. BulletBring a friend or family member to help with your props.  If you bring a pet we will need someone to watch them while you are being photographed.

Young Women-

  1. BulletBe conscious of your neckline. Certain necklines flatter your neck. V-neck is great for everyone. Round necklines are great for long necks. Well fitting jackets are also great for everyone.

  2. BulletFingernails/Toenails- Your nails may show.  Make sure they look how you would like.

  3. BulletIf you plan on a new hairstyle make the change at least one week before your portrait.  It takes time to get used to and comfortable with a new style.

  4. BulletMakeup- Wear your normal makeup. It is not necessary to apply extra.

Young Men-

  1. BulletDarker colors are usually best for men.

  2. BulletFacial hair- A clean shave always looks nice. If you prefer facial hair make sure it is trimmed and well groomed.

  3. BulletFingernails- Your nails may show.  Make sure they look how you would like.

Everyone-

  1. BulletBlemishes- Don’t worry about it.  All of our portraits include light retouching. We can make you look your best!

  2. BulletTans are great. Sunburns are not. Try not to schedule a session the day after being in the sun.

  3. BulletHave fun. We have a good time here, you will too!
