Wedding FAQs

AVAILABILITY: Please call or email with your specific date. We encourage our couples to have their church or wedding location booked "in stone" before booking with us. We normally reserve dates from 18 months out until the day of. We normally do not accept weddings on Sundays.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS: We are based out of Cincinnati but are available for travel. We have photographed all over the United States. Our passports are up to date and we have experience traveling if you wish to go farther.

OUR PHILOSOPHY: If I could offer any advice to a couple about to be married... it would be this... Have a plan, be flexible if things change, and HAVE FUN. I have had the experience of being the the groom, being the parent of the bride/groom, and being the photographer of the wedding. We really have had experience from all the angles! We use this to help plan out a schedule for our couples. We do not wish to dominate your day- we want to fit in to YOUR plans. We will offer advice on what we feel works for your wedding but you will be the boss. On your wedding day we will do anything needed to help things run smoothly. We carry aspirin, breath mints, scissors, and all sorts of things to help in a pinch. Our ultimate goal is capturing great images and helping you to have a great time on your wedding day.

OUR STYLE: We prefer a documentary style of photography for our couples, but in the end we photograph in the manner our couples request. We capture both "journalistic" and "portrait" style images. We love to look for details and cool moments. We really enjoy interesting angles and locations. But when it's time for formal images, we have the experience to pose people correctly. At the end of your day, we will have a storybook of you and your family and guests with a wide variety of images....

PACKAGE INFO: Our typical wedding coverage includes up to eight hours of time and no location limit within that timeframe. We want our couples to be able to plan out a timeframe without worrying about running out of time at a reception or skipping images at a park or location of importance to them. Image files are included. It's your wedding- shouldn't you own the right to your images? We also offer albums, prints and framing based upon your needs.

ONLINE VIEWING: All weddings are posted to this website and available for viewing. This allows for your guests and out of town relatives to see your images without borrowing yours. Online ordering is available.

HOW WE WORK: We ask for approximately half of our package to reserve your date. If you call us to book, we will hold your day until a check arrives. The remainder is due four weeks prior to the wedding. We always have a planning meeting somewhere between 4-6 weeks prior to your date. If you have questions prior to this, call us as often as you like.

PLANNING: If we have not visited your venue before- we will absolutely travel there prior to your wedding to "scope things out". During our planning meeting we will cover different locations, back up plans for bad weather, special images you are looking for, timeframes, etc. We will plan WHO needs to be WHERE at WHAT time so that we minimize waiting around. This will also help you get to the reception quickly. Decisions on what family members are needed for group photos are made at this time.

OUR CREDENTIALS: Just so you know..... If you love your craft you continue to learn at it lifelong. We are professionals and practice photography full time. We maintain membership in the Professional Photographers of America... and have earned official certification thru testing and image submission before a jury. We continue to actively attend seminars and conventions to study our craft and stay updated on the latest innovations. We also would not think of attending a wedding without extra cameras, batteries, flash equipment and more. When finding your photographer, look at their work and ask them if they are full time.
